Public Safety & Security
Public Safety & Security
We will modernize, protect, and keep every Gambian safe.
OUR MISSION
Far too many Gambians don’t feel safe in their own communities. Emergency response times are slow. Police resources are stretched. Infrastructure for fire, ambulance, and medical emergencies is inadequate. Without a strong safety system, businesses suffer, families live in fear, and growth halts. It’s time for a change.
OUR PLAN
- Provide every regional and district police station with modern equipment, trained personnel, body cameras, and GPS-enabled tracking systems.
- Build an integrated emergency response system linking police, fire, ambulance, and disaster teams with a national command center.
- Equip fire stations with ambulances and medics so they serve dual roles for medical emergencies.
- Implement a Public Safety & Code Enforcement Administration to enforce building codes, sanitation, workplace safety, and transport safety standards.
- Launch community awareness programs and local safety councils to build trust between citizens and law enforcement.
first 100 days:
- Audit all police stations for needed equipment and deploy priority upgrades.
- Establish emergency response mapping in two major regions to test coordination.
- Begin drafting legislation to set up the Code Enforcement Administration.
- Host town hall safety forums to gather feedback from communities.
IMPORTANCE
When safety is real, people walk without fear, businesses invest with confidence, communities thrive, and poverty retreats. Families sleep peacefully. Parents send kids to school without fear. We build a Gambia where security is not a luxury but a foundation.
