The National Builders Party (NBP) was founded on the belief that The Gambia can be transformed. Built into a stronger, fairer, and more united Nation than ever before. The Gambia has the land, the people, and the potential. What has been missing is a government with the discipline, the vision, and the will to build it right.
The NBP stands apart because we believe in planning and progress. Our goal is to transform how leadership itself is defined. The NBP is not a party of speeches. It is a party of blueprints. Within over 50 policy areas, we have mapped exactly what needs to be built, how it will be funded, and how every Gambian will see and feel the results.
From healthcare and education to agriculture, infrastructure, and justice, the National Builders Party is ready to govern and ready to build. We believe in building world-class healthcare systems that care for every citizen, in reforming education to meet the demands of a modern economy, and in investing in infrastructure and city planning that will make The Gambia a model of progress in Africa.
Our vision commits to a higher national standard that reaches beyond politics. It is a standard that says every Gambian, regardless of where they were born, who their family is, or what region they come from, deserves a government that shows up. One that paves the road, staffs the clinic, keeps the lights on, and holds itself accountable when it falls short. That is not an ambitious dream. That is the minimum a functioning government owes its people, and it is the floor the NBP will build from.

Schools where qualified teachers show up and are paid fairly. Courts that are independent and move without corruption. A police force that protects rather than intimidates. ANSU SANNEH
A Leader with a Plan to Build the Nation Forward
Ansu Sanneh is the founder and presidential candidate of the National Builders Party. Born in Banjul and raised with deep roots in service and faith, Ansu’s journey reflects both resilience and purpose. His professional life has spanned across sectors; working within the Office of the President of The Gambia, contributing to international peace operations under the United Nations in Darfur, and building a successful business in the United States.
Ansu’s experience has given him a global perspective and a deep understanding of the structures that build nations. He knows that progress requires systems, discipline, and leadership that delivers. His approach is strategic and visionary, yet grounded in compassion for the people he seeks to serve.
Alongside his wife, a real estate professional and partner in both life and mission, Ansu embodies the NBP’s values of unity, purpose, and family.
Their shared belief is simple: nations are built when families thrive, when leaders listen, and when citizens are empowered to participate in shaping their future.
Ansu’s leadership is defined by tenacity, professionalism, and a sense of calling. He believes The Gambia can move from survival to success through smart governance, job creation, modern infrastructure, agricultural innovation, and world-class education and healthcare systems.
He believes, “If you can see the vision in your mind, you can build it with your hands.” That belief sits at the heart of everything the National Builders Party stands for.
