In support of this vision, the NBP will construct a state-of-the-art performance theater in the Kombo St. Mary’s Division, serving as a hub for artistic excellence, cultural preservation, and entertainment innovation in The Gambia.

This facility will not only promote national talent and creativity but also establish the country as a rising center for regional arts and performance in West Africa.

The theater will be centrally located in Kombo St. Mary’s for accessibility, tourism integration, and community impact.

The facility will feature a large auditorium, rehearsal spaces, backstage amenities, exhibition areas, and live-streaming capabilities all built to global standards.

As part of youth empowerment and talent promotion, year-round activities such as talent shows, live performances, film screenings, workshops, and creative industry training programs will be held at the theater.

Over time, the theater will offer career pathways in production, media, and event management, while creating jobs and boosting local businesses.

Governance & Sustainability:

Managed by a public board with diverse stakeholders, the center will be funded through government support, event revenue, and private partnerships.
