Overview
Good governance is not a bonus. It is the foundation every other promise is built on.
Corruption drains the resources meant for hospitals, schools, and roads. Weak institutions cannot enforce the laws they are supposed to uphold. Unaccountable leaders make promises they never intended to keep. The National Builders Party will build a governance system that is transparent by design, accountable by law, and structured to deliver results that every Gambian can see and measure.

What the NBP will build
The NBP will establish a fully independent Anti-Corruption Commission
The ACC will have full prosecutorial independence, the power to investigate any public official, and a mandate to recover stolen public funds. No interference from the presidency.

A Departmental Review Commission will assess every ministry for waste, inefficiency, duplication, and corruption within the first year of government.

A modernized tax code, a strengthened Gambia Revenue Authority, and a digital tax system that closes loopholes and expands the tax base.

Modern labor legislation covering minimum wage, safe working conditions, fair termination, and the right to organize. Workers will have real protections, not paper ones.

A transparent national land registry, clear title systems, and fair processes that protect communities from displacement and end land grabbing.
