Border Security and National Migration

NBP

The Gambia's immigration system was written in 1965. The world has changed. The law has not.

The current Immigration Act CAP 3 of 1965 is outdated, poorly enforced, and not fit for a modern sovereign state. Non-Gambians living and working in the country are largely undocumented and untaxed. Border management lacks the systems and technology to function effectively. And young Gambians are risking their lives on the Backway to Europe because they see no future at home. The National Builders Party will fix the system and address the root causes that drive people to leave.

A Gambia with a modern, technology-driven immigration system that documents every non-citizen, enforces the law fairly, generates new tax revenue, and creates clear legal pathways for those who want to contribute and build here. And a country where young Gambians choose to stay because the opportunities are real.

The National Standard
The Gambia knows who lives within its borders, enforces its laws fairly and without corruption, and treats every person, citizen or non-citizen, with the dignity the law requires. Young Gambians are not driven to risk their lives crossing deserts and seas because there is nothing for them at home. The country they were born in gives them a reason to stay and the tools to build. Under the National Builders Party, that will be the standard. Not an aspiration. A reality.
